You deserve CBT therapy in UK that actually listens. No judgement. Just support.
“From Overwhelming to Overcoming, My journey”
My name is Mohibul Miah, though most people call me Mo. I am a British-born Bangladeshi Muslim man and a father of three. My journey into becoming a CBT therapist has been shaped not only by academic training, but by lived experience, challenge, and personal growth. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how emotional pain, loss, and low self-worth can affect a person’s sense of identity and direction.
Having faced adversity and major life transitions, I understand what it means to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I also know that change is possible. Through resilience, self-reflection, and education, I rebuilt my confidence and developed a more grounded and meaningful life.
Before retraining, I worked in high-pressure environments that taught me discipline and calm under stress. Today, I bring this together with my clinical training to offer a compassionate, collaborative approach, helping you understand patterns, rebuild confidence, and create lasting, meaningful change.
My mission: “To be of service that cultivates empowerment”. By standing in the fire of hardship, you discover the virtues of wisdom, tolerance, forgiveness, resilience and compassion. Let’s talk and book a 15 minutes’ free consultation today!
My clinical work is grounded in real experience. I have 5 years in NHS Talking Therapies. That is my main foundation. I also spent 3 years in an Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). That taught me calm during chaos. Even with highly distressed individuals.
I hold a BSc in Psychology and Counselling. Plus, two Postgraduate Diplomas. One in Psychological Wellbeing Practice. One in CBT. Both BABCP recognised. I am a BABCP member awaiting full accreditation. That means I follow ethical, evidence based practice. Ongoing learning is central to how I work. You are in safe hands.
I can gently shift unhelpful thinking patterns together. You deserve relief. Let’s start today.
I have trained properly in this field so that you can get proper help. Here is what backs that up!
You are the expert on your life. I bring the tools and techniques. Therapy is a collaboration, not a lecture.
We start by understanding what brought you here. What you want to change. What matters most to you. Together we explore your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours. We find what is keeping you stuck.
Sessions are structured but flexible. You get practical strategies to use in real life. Expect a compassionate, non judgemental space. We work at your pace. Building insight, confidence, and real skills. Change takes time. I will be right there with you.
To understand how I work, book a 15 minutes’ free consultation session. No strings attached! Just you and me, trying to understand your thoughts and extending a hand of compassion and care.
Clients notice change quickly with cognitive restructuring. It brings steadier thoughts, better choices, and more confidence every day.
I never thought therapy could feel this normal. Mo just gets it. No awkwardness. Real progress.

Finally, someone who understands struggle without making it weird. Honest, kind, and very effective.
