I offer CBT therapy for anxiety and depression with a human and personalized touch. Evidence based self-esteem treatment helps you rebuild confidence. You do not have to struggle alone!
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based talking therapy that focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours. It is based on the idea that the way we think about situations can strongly influence how we feel and what we do.
In CBT, we work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours that may be keeping you stuck and develop more balanced ways of responding. CBT is collaborative, structured, and focused on the present, helping you build practical skills and confidence so you can manage difficulties more effectively in everyday life.
“From Overwhelming to Overcoming, My journey”
My name is Mohibul Miah, though most people call me Mo. I am a British-born Bangladeshi Muslim man and a father of three. My journey into becoming a CBT therapist has been shaped not only by academic training, but by lived experience, challenge, and personal growth. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how emotional pain, loss, and low self-worth can affect a person’s sense of identity and direction.
Having faced adversity and major life transitions, I understand what it means to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. I also know that change is possible. Through resilience, self-reflection, and education, I rebuilt my confidence and developed a more grounded and meaningful life.
Before retraining, I worked in high-pressure environments that taught me discipline and calm under stress. Today, I bring this together with my clinical training to offer a compassionate, collaborative approach, helping you understand patterns, rebuild confidence, and create lasting, meaningful change.
My mission: “To be of service that cultivates empowerment”. By standing in the fire of hardship, you discover the virtues of wisdom, tolerance, forgiveness, resilience and compassion. Let’s talk and book a 15 minutes’ free consultation today!
You are the expert on your life. I bring the tools and techniques. Therapy is a collaboration, not a lecture.
We start by understanding what brought you here. What you want to change. What matters most to you. Together we explore your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours. We find what is keeping you stuck.
Sessions are structured but flexible. You get practical strategies to use in real life. Expect a compassionate, non judgemental space. We work at your pace. Building insight, confidence, and real skills. Change takes time. I will be right there with you.
As a British-born Bangladeshi therapist, I bring an understanding of both South Asian and Western cultural perspectives into my work. Cultural competence and cultural awareness are central to my approach, alongside a commitment to cultural empathy and ongoing reflection on unconscious bias. I offer culturally sensitive and culturally adapted CBT, ensuring therapy is tailored to your individual background, values, and experiences. My aim is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and able to explore your difficulties without judgement.
We talk. We plan. You practise. You grow. Together!
You hold negative beliefs about yourself. Past experiences shaped them. You feel not good enough. CBT helps you build a kinder, more balanced view of who you are.
These are deep beliefs like “I am unlovable” or “I am worthless.” They run in the background. CBT brings them into the light. Then we gently challenge and change them.
