These terms protect us both. Read them. Ask questions. Then we start. Simple and fair.
Effective from: 15th April 2026
These terms and conditions apply to all therapy services provided by Talk to Me – CBT. By booking a session, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Ask me anything that is unclear. I am happy to explain.
I provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy online. Sessions are conducted via video or telephone. I support adults aged 17 and over. I work with anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias, low self esteem, and related difficulties.
Therapy is not emergency support. If you are in crisis, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or go to A&E. For immediate danger, call 999.
Sessions must be booked in advance. Payment is due before each session. I accept bank transfer. Details will be provided upon booking.
Bundle bookings require full payment upfront. Bundles are non-refundable once started. Unused sessions within a bundle may be transferred in exceptional circumstances. This is at my discretion.
Prices are reviewed annually. You will be notified of any changes with at least 30 days notice.
You must give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full and cannot be refunded. This applies to all session types including assessments, treatment sessions, and bundle bookings.
If I need to cancel, I will give you as much notice as possible. I will offer an alternative time. No charge will apply to the cancelled session.
Emergencies are rare but happen. I will consider genuine emergencies on a case by case basis. Please communicate with me as soon as you can.
If you are late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. I cannot extend into the next client’s slot. No refund or partial refund is given for late arrival.
If I am late, I will extend the session or offer a partial refund. This depends on what works best for you.
Everything you share is treated as confidential. Typical limitations to confidentiality
include:
Your privacy is important to me. This policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use my services.
Your information is used to:

You agree to attend sessions sober. Alcohol or recreational drugs before a session may lead to cancellation with full fee charged. Prescribed medication is of course fine.
If I believe you are unable to engage meaningfully due to intoxication or severe distress, I may end the session early. No refund will be given in this case.
Not every client is right for CBT. Some conditions need different or additional support. If I believe you need a different service, I will discuss this honestly with you. I may signpost or refer you elsewhere. I will not charge for that discussion.
Email and text are not fully secure. I use reasonable precautions, but I cannot guarantee complete security. Please do not share urgent or highly sensitive information via unencrypted email.
I will respond to emails within two working days. For urgent matters, please call or text.
I take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy, please tell me first. Most issues can be resolved by talking openly.
If you prefer a formal route, please put your complaint in writing to Talktomecbt@gmail.com. I will acknowledge it within 5 working days. I will respond fully within 21 working days.
If you remain unsatisfied, you can contact my registering body. I am a member of BABCP awaiting accreditation. Their complaints process is available on their website.
I provide therapy with reasonable skill and care. However, therapy outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Your progress depends on many factors including your commitment and life circumstances.
I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. My total liability is limited to the fees you have paid for sessions.
Either of us can end therapy at any time. I would appreciate reasonable notice. You can simply tell me you wish to stop. No hard feelings.
I may terminate therapy if:
If I terminate, I will offer up to two sessions to support transition to another service.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled within UK jurisdiction.
I may update these terms occasionally. You will be notified of significant changes. Continued work with me after changes means you accept the new terms.
