Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, distressing thoughts, images, or urges. They feel shocking or frightening. You may worry they mean something terrible about you.
We normalise what is happening. Intrusive thoughts are universal. The problem is how you react to them. You learn to let thoughts come and go without fighting or believing them.
The more you try to suppress a thought, the stronger it gets. Letting it be there without engagement is the way out.
